The Information Technology Department of The College of Idaho is responsible for proper operation and configuration of all College-owned computers, software, network equipment, telephones, computer labs and fixed infrastructure.

Services for Students

IT provides free technical support and repair services to all students. If your computer or device isn't working, or if you suspect you have a software problem or malware, please bring it to the helpdesk in Covell for a free diagnosis. If it's something they can resolve they'll let you know and help. If not, they'll refer you to a third-party repair company in Caldwell.

For simpler issues students can email [email protected] for assistance.

Services for Employees

The IT Department supports all College-owned instructional and business equipment, including employee computers, classroom projectors, copiers and printers, software and network devices. Employees may contact the helpdesk or bring devices to Covell.

IT also acts as central purchasing for all hardware and software. All purchases, whether paid by the IT or individual department budget, must be approved and sourced through IT. If you would like to acquire new hardware or software please contact them to discuss your needs.

Hours of Operation

Assistance is available from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, in Covell Hall. The helpdesk is reachable during business hours at [email protected] or 208-459-5777.
