Handshake is The College of Idaho's online job and internship database. This resource allows you to gain access to volunteer opportunities, internship placements, work-study/work-program positions, and student wage positions as well as full-time full-time post-graduation opportunities.
All students (and alumni) are invited to begin building their professional profiles. Like any networking tool, the more effort you put into your profile the better the results. Setting up a successful profile takes roughly 30 minutes of exploring as the system also has self-assessment tools.
For current students, the log-in system has been synced with your YoteNet ID. So, log in with your username/password as you would on any campus device.
For alumni, if you were a student during the 2020-2021 academic year or after, complete the YOTE Alumni – Handshake Access form to regain access to Handshake. If you graduated prior to the 2020-2021 academic year, seek access to Handshake by following the steps to create an Alumni Account. If you need guidance on registering on Handshake, please review its Alumni Tips.
For students pursuing an on-campus position, ensure you review The College’s Student Employment Standards. Additionally, upon securing an on-campus position, you will need to certify that you have read The College’s Student Employment Standards as well as complete The College’s Employment Packet and a W4 form and provide completed materials to The College’s Human Resources (HR) Department.
