Graduates emerge ready to excel in corporate, nonprofit, and entrepreneurial roles, equipped with the critical thinking and adaptability needed for success across industries.
This major prepares students to excel across diverse and evolving business landscapes and offers the following benefits:
While at the College, Jackson Nassir ’25, a double major in art and business administration, created a three-story art installation in Cruzen-Murray Library, exploring how the things on this earth are filled with life, and how they interact with unliving elements. His piece takes viewers on a journey, symbolizing the release of the soul – a beautiful death.
“Our study abroad trip wasn’t just about lectures and assignments,” says Dr. Andrew Ellestad (Business & Accounting). “It was about students bargaining in local markets, chatting with business owners over bubble tea, and finding their way through bustling streets together. Our students grew from hesitant travelers to confident global explorers who could navigate subway systems and cultural differences with equal ease.”
To me, there is no other college that I would benefit more from than The College of Idaho because of its intimate classroom settings, professor availability, and endless opportunities with networking. Through resources of the College, I secured job interviews, internships, and community-based opportunities that I know I would not have received elsewhere.

The moment I set foot in college, I knew that I needed more than just an education; I craved a sense of belonging and community. Fortunately, The College of Idaho provided me with exactly that – a tight-knit, supportive YoteFam of faculty and students who were dedicated to helping me reach my full potential. The people here take a leap of faith in each other, lifting each other up and celebrating their differences.

I knew coming to the College would offer me a leg up in both my academics as well as social networking. CofI has seats in many businesses in downtown Boise that are saved specifically for students who graduate from the College. On top of that, I knew I would be establishing close relationships with my professors, mentors and College leadership. Having access to these relationships has opened a whole other world in launching my career.

I was incredibly fortunate to intern at Blue Cross of Idaho to learn about a perspective of healthcare I knew nothing about. Through my mentors at BCI and with interest in becoming a small-town physician, I also interned in clinics in St. Maries, Hailey and Stanley, Idaho. In all, each mentor has had a meaningful impact in defining me and my future aspirations, and I could do none of that without the College.
B.A. in Biomedical Science and Business Administration with a minor in Philosophy.
What I’ve come to appreciate the most is the diverse atmosphere present at the College. Serving as the AFRO Club President, I was able to offer a safe environment that celebrated culture and inclusivity for our students while also improving my personal leadership skills. I was able to immerse myself in my studies and campus involvement, while also pursuing excellence above all.
B.A in Business Administration and International Political Economy with minors in Communication and Environmental Studies.
As a college, our “Yote” culture is part of our identity early on in our undergraduate career, building experiences that I take with me for the rest of my life. More specifically, my journey as a member, leader and captain of the Yote football program has provided me with lifelong friendships and the opportunity to pursue my dreams of playing professional football following graduation.
