C of I officially launches new website

New Website

Just as the leaves are changing out on the Morrison Quadrangle, so too is The College of Idaho’s website, which has officially launched a comprehensive redesign to make it easier than ever to keep up with all things Yote.

After five years with the same design, The College of Idaho has focused this update on ease of navigation and interaction, especially on mobile devices. Visitors to the homepage will find links to all major areas of information, including academics, admissions, financial aid, student life and athletics. Scrolling down, visitors will find links to all the College’s most recent news stories, as well as quick facts about the College and upcoming campus events.

For prospective and incoming students, learning more about the College’s distinctive PEAK curriculum is made simpler with the introduction of our new PEAK Profiles. Students can now sort each of our 35 majors and 63 minors by their associated PEAK category, allowing students to build their individualized PEAK curriculums without losing their place or getting lost in multiple menus. Students may also read about the experiences of current C of I students on each program’s page, seeing how their choices in PEAK have helped shape their courses of study.

For current students, the design update allows for easy access to their most commonly visited pages. At the top of every page, the Yote Links menu can be expanded, allowing students to get links to their webmail, YoteNet technical support, academic calendars and more without having to scroll down each page. They will also have immediate access in one click to the College’s full faculty and staff directory, allowing them to quickly contact anyone at the College they need without clicking through multiple menus.

Regular updates to the website will be ongoing, including expanded pages for each academic department. Stay tuned to www.collegeofidaho.edu to stay up to date on all news, events and more, and send us feedback using the button at the bottom of each page.

The College of Idaho has a 125-year-old legacy of excellence. The C of I is known for its outstanding academic programs, winning athletics tradition and history of producing successful graduates, including seven Rhodes Scholars, three governors, four NFL players and countless business leaders and innovators. Its distinctive PEAK Curriculum challenges students to attain competency in the four knowledge peaks of humanities, natural sciences, social sciences and a professional field—empowering them to earn a major and three minors in four years. The College’s close-knit, residential campus is located in Caldwell, where its proximity both to Boise and to the world-class outdoor activities of southwest Idaho’s mountains and rivers offers unique opportunities for learning beyond the classroom.
