The College of Idaho seeks comments from the public in preparation for a periodic evaluation by its regional accrediting agency.
The College will undergo a comprehensive evaluation visit October 5-7, 2020, by a team representing the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU), the regional authority on educational quality and effectiveness for higher education institutions in the Northwestern United States. The College of Idaho has been accredited at the baccalaureate level since 1922. The College had its last full accreditation visit in 2012.
For the past year, The College of Idaho has been involved in a process of self-study that addresses the Commission’s requirements and criteria for evaluation. As part of the regular NWCCU accreditation process, the evaluation team will visit the College on October 5-7 to gather evidence that the self-study report is comprehensive and accurate. Following its review, the team will make a recommendation to the Commission regarding continuing status for The College of Idaho. The Commission itself will take the action regarding accreditation status.
