CALDWELL, Idaho - College of Idaho Vice President of Athletics Reagan Rossi has been named the 3rd Vice President of the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) for the 2025-26 academic year, marking a historic milestone not only for the College, but for small-college athletics nationwide.
Rossi is the first NAIA representative ever selected to serve in NACDA's officer rotation, and just the third non-NCAA Division I administrator in the Association's 60-plus-year history to do so. She is also the first small-college administrator to hold a NACDA officer position in nearly a decade, following representatives from NCAA Division II (Grand Valley State, 2007-2016) and NCAA Division III (Colby College, 1969-1973).
Her appointment places her in line to become NACDA President in the coming years, giving a significant voice to the NAIA and small-school athletics on the national stage.
"It's an honor to be chosen as NACDA's 3rd Vice President," said Rossi. "I am confident in our commitment to elevate the voice of college athletics, and shape the future of our profession through service, vision and an unwavering commitment to the student-athletes and their success. I feel blessed to be among an amazing group of leaders."
Rossi has served on the NACDA Executive Committee since 2023 and recently completed a term as President of the NAIA Athletics Directors Association. She was recognized as a NACDA Athletics Director of the Year in 2022-23 and serves on the Allstate NACDA Good Works Team Selection Committee.
She joins an officer group that includes President Sean T. Frazier (Northern Illinois University), 1st Vice President Pennie Parker (Rollins College), 2nd Vice President Whit Babcock (Virginia Tech), and Secretary Christina Hundley (Paradise Valley CC).
Rossi's long-standing commitment to the College of Idaho began in 1995 as an assistant coach on the newly reinstated women's basketball team. She returned to Caldwell in 2001 as head coach and later took on the role of Title IX coordinator, which she held for 11 years. She transitioned into full-time administration in 2014, was named Director of Athletics in 2016, and promoted to Vice President of Athletics in 2021.
"Reagan has not only built a successful career in the AD chair, she has established herself as a role model in the industry," said NACDA Chief Executive Officer Pat Manak. "The standard of excellence she holds and the level of service she provides to her staff, student-athletes and institutional community make her a perfect fit for NACDA's leadership."
Rossi's appointment is a landmark moment for the College of Idaho, the Cascade Collegiate Conference, and the broader NAIA membership, and it ensures that small-college athletics will have a seat at the table in shaping the future of intercollegiate sports.
