Whittenberger Planetarium to present “Under the Stars” show featuring C of I choir

October 22, 2018
The Whittenberger Planetarium and C of I Chamber Singers present "Under the Stars" on Friday, Nov. 2.

As November approaches and the nights grow longer, The College of Idaho’s Whittenberger Planetarium is inviting the community to ease into the fall season gently with its “Under the Stars” program, a collaboration with the C of I’s Chamber Singers.

The program is set to begin at 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 2 at the Whittenberger Planetarium in Boone Hall, located on the C of I campus near Jewett Auditorium on the corner of 20th Ave. and Fillmore St. in Caldwell. Advanced ticket purchase is strongly encouraged due to limited seating, and ticket holders are encouraged to arrive 15 minutes before show time to avoid losing their seat to walk-in visitors.

In the planetarium’s first ever program with the choral department, visitors will be treated to a collage of astronomy stories, history, and images interspersed with the Chamber Singers live music.

“This will be an evening for enjoying the awesomeness of the night sky through sight and sound as the choir sings songs inspired by the magnificence of the stars,” said Planetarium Director Amy Truksa.

Admission is $6 for adults and $3 for children. To purchase your tickets, visit http://www.collegeofidaho.edu/planetarium or contact Kinga Britschgi at (208) 459-5211.
