Kris Komori
  • When talking about new restaurants in downtown Boise, KIN finds its way into virtually any conversation. KIN is co-owned by Kris Komori '05, who also serves as the restaurant's chef. Komori is a recent winner of the College's Distinguished Alumni Award, earning recognition in 2018. (Idaho Statesman)
  • Kay Gott Chaffey '46 will be on the Idaho Women's Veterans Medallion after serving the United States in World War 2 as a pilot. Gott Chaffey, who participated in the College's civilian pilot training program, passed away in 2017 but was still one of five women to be honored. (Idaho Falls Post Register)
  • Graydon Stanley '80, an administrator at North Idaho College, was selected as the Post Falls Chamber of Commerce Citizen of the Year. (North Idaho Business Journal)
  • A citizen-led movement in Chile is working to create a new national park that is accessible and also protects the region's glaciers. Kristine Tompkins '72, an outspoken conversationalist who has been active in South America for years, discusses here. (Guam Daily Post)
  • The recent Idaho Womxn's March was virtual this year but, even though the march part of the event was not held in-person, there were still several speakers. Ali Rabe '10 was one, so was senior Kaya Evans. (KIVI-TV)
Dr. Rochelle Johnson
  • The name of the article is "Meet Susan Fenmore Cooper, American's First Recognized Female Nature Writer." One of the resources for the article is Rochelle Johnson, who is an English and environmental studies professor at the College. (The Audubon Society)
  • Chris England, a visiting assistant professor in political economy, had two articles published in two separate publications. First, in the American Conservative, he writes about why national greatness matters. Also, in the National Interest, England writes about what U.S. allies thought about the siege on the Capitol Building in Washington, D.C. Was it an attempted coup?
  • Nick Underwood, an assistant history professor and Chair of Judaic Studies, is interviewed about a recent article he penned, titled "Seeing the Spanish Civil War in the Yiddish Press in Popular France." (The Parkes Institute)
  • Alan Minskoff, a long-time member of the College's faculty as a speech arts lecturer and published author, reflects on 50 years of being an Idaho tourist. As an added bonus, the writer is an alumna - Ashley Miller '16. (Idaho Press)
