It isn’t just a cash donation from the Trust. It’s an investment in scientific study and research at the College that required significant preparation by Maldve and the entire science faculty on campus.
The official total of $1,053,599 was – by far – the largest amount ever raised by guests at the Gala, surpassing the previous high by nearly a quarter of a million dollars ($810,000 in 2022).
This year’s Kathryn Albertson Scholarship Competition runs from February 5 to February 16. It is generally reserved for high-school seniors with at least a 3.0 grade-point average who have applied to the College.
The summer program, called The College of Idaho Scholars Program, just completed its second year. It’s one of multiple undergraduate research opportunities available during the year in scientific fields at the College.
The College of Idaho was once again recognized as one of the best institutes of higher learning in the west region, according to the 2024 Princeton Review Best Colleges.
