The fiscally responsible, phased approach to repairing the building, which was originally constructed in 1956, was approved by the College’s Board of Trustees nearly a decade ago.

The College is doubling down on purple. The turf upon Wolfe Field and Symms Field are receiving a generous splash of purple.

Foreman and Hess teamed with Laport, Brad Stokes from the University of Idaho, the groundskeeping staff at the College, and student volunteers to plant several plants, like sagebrush, around Boone Hall in June and hope to plant even more native plants later this summer.

Deer Flat Church was one of four institutions whose contributions were recognized with medallions. Ustick Road Church of the Nazarene, International Students, Inc., and Iglesia Damasco also received a Presidential Medallion from the College.

In addition to his presidential role with the ISO, Mahlangu is a Counsel for Diversity and Inclusion representative, a Peer Health Advocate, a member of the Africans, Friends, Relatives and Others (AFRO) club and the Gaming club.

Planning and preparation that began sometimes a year earlier comes to fruition as projects finish prior to the first day of classes on August 23.

Once the drawing classes that were housed in the spot were relocated to other rooms in the building, Claassen began to utilize it as an art studio. The long wall between the two doors, approaching 100 feet in length, became the focal point of the entire space.

The Smiths, along with the co-presidents, Vice President of Finance & Administration Richard Erne, and trustee Mike Elliott, collaborated with ZGA Architects and Andersen Construction (both of Boise) to bring the vision to life.
