I chose to attend The College of Idaho because I wanted a well-rounded and rigorous liberal arts education and classes taught by dedicated and highly qualified professors. My education prepared me for my career success by helping me develop critical thinking skills, further igniting my passion for learning, and pushing me to have high standards for myself in everything I do.
B.A. in Environmental Studies with minors in History and Philosophy and specializations in Business and Geoscience & Geography.
I knew coming to the College would offer me a leg up in both my academics as well as social networking. CofI has seats in many businesses in downtown Boise that are saved specifically for students who graduate from the College. On top of that, I knew I would be establishing close relationships with my professors, mentors and College leadership. Having access to these relationships has opened a whole other world in launching my career.
B.A. in Business Administration with minors in Communication and Natural Science and a specialization in Finance.
The community of the College is truly something special. From the students to the professors and faculty, it feels like everyone around the College is so welcoming and caring about you and your well-being and success. The College also offered the ability to achieve my dream of playing collegiate athletics and studying math and physics – the best of both worlds.
B.A. in Mathematics-Physics with minors in Philosophy and Psychology.
When I was in high school, I was anxious about having to transition from a small rural school to a large urban college with class sizes 20 times as large as the ones I was used to. When I toured CofI, I fell in love with the small class sizes and huge opportunities. I was especially impressed with the College’s high acceptance rates to several postgraduate programs.
B.A. in Biomedical Science with minors in Psychology & Health and Spanish and a specialization in Pre-Nursing.
One of the requirements I was looking for in schools was that there needed to be a music program that I could participate in, even if I was not a major or minor. At CofI, I have been able to do just that and perform at football and basketball games, concerts and operas. I can still have my passion for music while exploring new passions like rock climbing and writing.
B.A in History and Environmental Studies with a minor in Communication.
The College of Idaho grabbed my attention when I was first looking to transfer from a large university. I knew that when I came to visit and walked around campus it felt like where I needed to be. I was able to meet the presidents of the College and they were down to earth and willing to talk to us about anything. Not long after the visit, I knew I was going to become a Yote.
B.A in Business Administration and International Political Economy with minors in Communication and Environmental Studies.
