- Four graduates of The College of Idaho were among the 2019 Women of the Year honorees, unveiled by the Idaho Business Review. Rebekah Harvey '91, Megan Ronk '01, Jen Schneider '96 and Corey Surber '91 were among the women honored by the IBR. They are being honored for excellence in leadership, professional accomplishments, mentorship and community service.

- The College of Idaho was among the non-profits awarded funds from The Whittenberger Foundation which funds the Whittenberger Scholars program. The Whittenberger Foundation is a Caldwell-based charitable grant-making foundation. The Foundation's areas of interest relating to children and young people are education, arts and culture, health, social welfare, recreation and the environment.
- Will Fowler '01 has been named Associate State Director of Operations for Idaho Small Business Development Center. Fowler has been with the SBDC since 2013 and his new position will focus on strategic development.
- Steve Rule is retiring from the Canyon County Commission after 12 years. Rule served four consecutive terms as a county commissioner. He attended The College of Idaho and played for the Coyote baseball team.
- Dennis Tanikuna '74 is retiring at the end of the year from the Idaho Farm Bureau Federation after 24 years. He has spent much of his professional life in and around agriculture, having also spent time with the Idaho-Oregon Fruit and Vegetable Association, the Idaho apple and cherry commissions, and the Idaho-Eastern Oregon Onion Committee.
- The College of Idaho's top-ranked men's basketball team wrapped up the 2018 portion of its schedule with a home win over rival Eastern Oregon. Head coach Colby Blaine's team is 15-2 overall and 4-1 in Cascade Conference play headed into a lengthy holiday break. The team returns to the floor on January 4 at home against Northwest University.
- The men played a road game in Missoula, MT, against NCAA Division 1 Montana in early December. Photo/Video Specialist Adam Eschbach went along to show us what life is like on the road for our student-athletes.
- The Coyote women, under first-year head coach Janis Beal, narrowly missed pulling a big upset at home just before Christmas against nationally-ranked Eastern Oregon. Coach Beal's team plays two games at Walla Walla University in late December before returning home to face Northwest University on January 4.
- Pre-season rankings are starting to pop up for the spring sports around the College, as C of I's men's lacrosse team was placed 13th in a pre-season national poll released by "Inside Lacrosse," which represents the highest pre-season ranking in program history. The team was also voted second in the Pacific Northwest Collegiate Lacrosse League (PNCLL) pre-season coach's poll. Also, C of I's women's softball team was voted fifth in a pre-season poll of Cascade Conference coaches.
