A guide to America’s top liberal arts colleges has released its rankings for 2019 and The College of Idaho has scored well again – ranking in the top 100 overall and tops among all institutions of higher learning in the state of Idaho.

For the ninth consecutive year, The College of Idaho has earned inclusion in the prestigious Fiske Guide to Colleges.

Macee Carpenter, a sophomore-to-be at the College, began her internship in the national capitol in May and will continue her duties well into August before returning to Caldwell.

Their research will continue through August and once the work is done, the students will present their findings at a professional conference.

Riddle just concluded her fifth year leading the PEAK Center at the College, which helps students prepare for life after college.

“The College of Idaho has a reputation that has out-sized its size,” Olsen said during her visit to the Caldwell campus earlier this week.

Shanaya Fox and Caly Thurston are spending ten weeks this summer working in Boone Science Hall in professor Luke Daniels’ biology lab, doing research on Glioblastoma cells and how they respond to chemotherapy treatment.

In 2018, the history department awarded over $30,000 to 18 students. This year, $60,000 was awarded to 26 history majors.
