The Lecture Series and the Chair of Judaic Studies are both unique to the College thanks to the Neilsen Foundation. The College of Idaho is the only institute of higher learning in the Intermountain West to have an endowed chair for Judaic Studies.
In order to earn this distinction, a library is judged by a seven-person committee on its design achievement, including a sense of place, purpose, ecology, environmental sustainability, and history.
On February 17, Rachel B. Gross, Ph.D., will speak at 5:00 p.m. in Katherine Albertson International Center 106. She will be discussing her recently published book, “Beyond the Synagogue: Jewish Nostalgia as Religious Practice.”
He proposed taking Raptosh’s submission and combining it with two other entries Etruscan had received. So Raptosh discussed the idea with Karen Donavan (“Planet Parable”) and Daneen Wardrop (“Endless Body”) and decided to work together.
