The annals of time are likely to mark the recent period as the world before COVID-19 and the world after COVID-19. The pandemic has touched virtually every aspect of life on the planet in some way. And the way the narrative has played out so far, days feel like weeks and weeks feel like years. 

The College’s Fall Re-Opening Plan is now a phased approach with the beginning phase on August 19 consisting of primarily online-classes in a distance learning format.

The College of Idaho will begin its Fall semester one week earlier than previously scheduled and will finish on-campus instruction by Thanksgiving.

The time difference between Oahu and the College’s campus is four hours. So a 9:10 a.m. class actually began at 5:10 for her.

The YoteVote platform was devised by Alan Price ’10 when he was a student at the College. It was first used in 2008 and, despite minor hiccups, has never failed.

To come up with a solution that can provide relief to the housing crunch during the current school year, College officials turned to a Caldwell company, indieDwell, that is making national headlines for its unique approach to provide quality, affordable housing from an unexpected source: decommissioned shipping containers.

Nelson said all RAs go through an application and vetting process that includes group interviews and one-on-one interviews as well. All are trained in conflict resolution, diversity and inclusion, suicide awareness, emergency situations, and are CPR/first-aid certified.
