This new program includes automatic admission for CWI students with a 3.0 Grade Point Average or higher, priority registration for their first semester, access to the state-of-the-art Cruzen-Murray Library on The College of Idaho campus, and other benefits, prior and during the transfer process.

Part of that support comes in the form of the Horatio Alger Scholarships, which the Washington Foundation announced a $1.3 million commitment to fund at the College for the next eight years.

The College has risen 51 spots over the past two years in recognition of the Best National Liberal Arts Colleges. The rankings are determined by a formula weighting data across 15 metrics of academic excellence, including graduation rates and first-year retention, faculty and financial resources, peer assessments, student excellence and alumni giving.

To qualify for the site’s list, a school had to receive fewer than 5,000 applications and have fewer than 7,000 undergraduate students.

The College is one of just 127 colleges in 15 western states to receive the “Best in the West” acknowledgement in its website feature “2020 Best Colleges: Region by Region.”

A guide to America’s top liberal arts colleges has released its rankings for 2019 and The College of Idaho has scored well again – ranking in the top 100 overall and tops among all institutions of higher learning in the state of Idaho.

For the ninth consecutive year, The College of Idaho has earned inclusion in the prestigious Fiske Guide to Colleges.

In 2018, the history department awarded over $30,000 to 18 students. This year, $60,000 was awarded to 26 history majors.

Degrees were conferred onto 175 graduates in front of Boone Hall on the Morrison Quadrangle in front of over 1,500 friends and family.

The College of Idaho added another impressive student to its list of Heritage Scholars earlier this week as Patrick Mark, a senior at Riverstone International School in Boise, committed to attend the College.
