The presentation room of the College’s Cruzen-Murray Library last week was filled with those who were still mournful of the recent acts of hate, yet were united in a voice of resilience and a goal of targeting the root causes of injustice.
Senior Tyler Reay captained the College’s team, which included Math major Mbongi Dlamini ’20, and Business majors Ines Arredondo ’20, Jacob Davis ’19, and Chris Waters ’19.
On Friday, Blue Cross of Idaho extended its reach and impact to the whole health of body and mind as it committed to funding two full-tuition Heritage Scholarships at The College of Idaho.
It began as dissertation research while a doctoral student at Baylor University in 2010. In 2019, it became a check mark on life’s bucket list for College of Idaho Associate Professor of Anthropology & Sociology Scott Draper.
The end result was record-setting: The 570 guests at the Gala contributed $461,000 to The College of Idaho via live and silent auction, with all the funds going toward scholarships.
In 2014 Blackwell began his career as a felony probation and parole officer where he was able to explore the field he had studied for so long. Eventually, he noticed a job opening at The College of Idaho.
A recent paper published in the Journal of Applied Toxicology on e-cigarette research done largely at The College of Idaho has begun to blaze new trails on the toxicity of e-cigarettes on human bone cells.
