In a season full of renewed interest and national attention, The College of Idaho has made a major impression in the rankings of the 2019 U.S. News & World Report Best College Rankings, catapulting to No. 131 in its list of “Best National Liberal Arts Colleges” — the highest position the College has achieved on the prestigious annual ranking.
The College of Idaho has once again received recognition as the top school in the state of Idaho by the Wall Street Journal, ranking as the number one school in Idaho and among the Top 400 four-year institutions nationally in the 2019 Wall Street Journal/Times Higher Education U.S. College Rankings.
The construction of the Smith Welcoming Arches at The College of Idaho officially began on Thursday, Sept. 6 with the same spirit of welcoming and optimism the arches themselves will soon display.

The College of Idaho continues to pile up accolades, this time receiving new honors from Washington Monthly, College Consensus and College Raptor’s most recent respective college rankings, including within the top four liberal arts colleges in the northwest in Washington Monthly’s 2018 College Rankings and “Hidden Gem” designations for 2019 by CollegeRaptor.com.
The College of Idaho’s award-winning thrice-yearly alumni magazine Quest is hot off the press with its Summer 2018 issue, now available to read for free online on the College’s website.

2018 was a banner year for The College of Idaho in terms of major construction projects, from the completion of renovations to Voorhees and Finney Halls to the grand opening of the Cruzen-Murray Library. Each project now has the opportunity to be recognized among the top construction projects in Idaho as finalists in the Idaho Business Review’s 2018 Idaho Top Projects awards.
