The College tied for 48th out of 933 not-for-profit liberal arts colleges whose enrollment is over 500 students in overall financial health as an institution.
The Stueckle Scholarships were awarded to three sophomore students who are pursuing science degrees. They’re also members of the College’s Gipson Honors program.
The Cultural Show is important for the college community because it showcases traditional customs from around the world and discusses current issues through songs, dances, skits, poems, and more.
“We want to help them (the veterans) integrate and help the other students understand what the vets have done. They all want to be part of something. They all want to be Yotes.”
The Davis Cup win by The College of Idaho is significant considering its total enrollment of just 1,091 students, much smaller than the 31,702 total enrollment figure of former Davis Cup winner Oklahoma, which finished second this year.
According to the Chronicle, “Liberal-arts colleges saw the total number of applicants grow more than 42 percent from the admissions cycle for the fall of 2007 to that for the fall of 2017,” which represent the window of time studied by the publication.
The award was second place – out of over 100 competitors – in the student-choice category at the annual, state-wide INBRE (IDeA Network of Biomedical Research Excellence) conference over the summer.
